Studio Day #5 Surfer Kings

Today we had the visit of the superb A.A Bondy, who'll be a guest on two tracks of the new album.
For those of you who don't know him, i can never recommand enough his last album "Believers" who was produced by Rob Schnapf in the very studio we're making the record in.

Studio Day #4 "just a radio buzzing"

Today we track the song called Radio Buzzing. Song's about leaving your hometown behind for a bigger town, full of hopes but ending up lost and bitter. Pretty joyful isn'it? Theme is pretty much in contrast with the cool California sun.

Studio Day #1 "IT SMELLS LIKE WEED AND NACHOS"

Studio day 1: Kingsize Soundlabs Studios on Eagle Rock Boulevard with Rob Schnapf and his assistant Chris. We nearly have one song taped. Studio is really cosy and sounds great. The choice of gear would drive any geek crazy.

My kind of Life is no better off, if it's got the map or if it's lost

So We played our last show of the tour yesterday. It was cool. I had a blast doing this tour With these guys.
As an adventure ends,  new & exciting adventures start Tomorrow as i'm off to California. Recording sessions for the new Album start on wednesday. I had about 20 songs, but had to do a shortlist before, to avoid the heartbreaking tracklisting moment i had to deal With for the last album. So there we go. 13 songs California bound, to be produced by Rob Schnapf. Like i did for Off the Map, i'll be keeping a day to day studio diary here on this blog. Lots of things to tell you along the way. I'll See you soon friends.

Tour Van Music #23 Tied to the bed post, tell me a story

You're my Rock n Roll Fantasy
Stone rider going down on me
You're my Rock n Roll Fantasy
Oh you are my wet dream
Tied to the bed post
Tell me a story
Of how we could do it
With strangers by fences
When I came all over myself
Wish i came all over your blouse
You're my rock'n'roll fantasy
